Am 5. Dezember wurden die Nominierten für die 55. Grammy Awards 2013 vorgestellt. Frank Ocean und The Black Keys wurden dabei für beeindruckende sechs Grammys nominiert (darunter „Bestes Album“), Miguel könnte fünf Grammys gewinnen, Jack White drei. Die Auszeichnungen werden am 10. Februar 2013 im Staples Center in Los Angeles verliehen. Wer die drei Monate bis dahin nicht abwarten möchte –  in den Hauptkategorien hat der Musikexpress bereits heute abgestimmt. Eine Delegation der Musikexpress-Redaktion, bestehend aus Albert Koch, Stephan Rehm, Oliver Götz, Michael Pilz, Jochen Overbeck und Christopher Hunold hat schon einmal einige unserer Wunschpreisträger gewählt.
