Mit dem Song „Automaton“ kündigten Jamiroquai jüngst ihr gleichnamiges Album an, das erste seit dem 2010 erschienenen ROCK DUST LIGHT STAR. Man kann also getrost von einem Comeback sprechen, das uns nun auch einen zweiten Song beschert.

Der Track „Cloud 9“, den die Band zunächst über soziale Netzwerke angeteasert hatte, feierte seine Premiere in Ken Bruces Radioshow bei BBC 2. Hört hier rein, los geht es ab Zeitmarke 2:06.

AUTOMATON wird am 31. März 2017 erscheinen. Über Jamiroquais Comeback sagt Jay Kay: “The inspiration for Automaton is in recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today and how we as humans are beginning to forget the more pleasant, simple and eloquent things in life and in our environment including our relationship with one another as human beings.”
